Seattle law enforcement officials are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the University District, which resulted in serious injuries to a 57-year-old man. As reported by the SPD Blotter, the event unfolded near the vicinity of the 4700 block of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast at around 5 p.m. on Monday.
The authorities were alerted to the situation by bystanders, and upon arrival, found the victim with a stab wound in his back. The Seattle Police Department swiftly took action to administer first aid, and the Seattle Fire Department followed up with additional emergency medical care. The individual was then taken to Harborview Medical Center and is reportedly in a serious but stable condition, with injuries that are not expected to be fatal.
Details regarding the suspect are sparse; however, police are on the lookout for a white male believed to be about 40 years of age, and roughly 5’10” in height. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a red hoodie adorned with a white logo, dark pants, and white shoes. The suspect managed to escape the scene before the police apprehended him and has not been located as of the most recent update.
