Seattle authorities are urgently looking for the driver involved in a deadly collision that took place Wednesday night in the Ballard neighborhood. According to FOX 13 Seattle, 56-year-old man was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a car traveling south. The collision occurred near Northwest 73rd Street and 15th Avenue Northwest, with police arriving at the scene around 10:15 p.m. The victim, found in the street, was treated by the Seattle Fire Department but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) is leading the investigation and collecting critical evidence. As per KOMO News, the vehicle is a silver sedan and may have front-end damage from the crash. Authorities have not released more details about its make or model.

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying the suspect involved in the hit-and-run. The victim’s body has been turned over to the King County Medical Examiner.
