Bel-Air witnessed an unsettling scene on Thursday afternoon when an automobile collided with a short wall at the Wise School on the Stephen Wise Temple campus. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), six individuals were involved in the incident, which occurred just after 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Despite the potential for greater harm, there were no entrapments, and most of the individuals involved declined medical transportation. Four of the patients, including two minors and a woman in her 30s, were reported in fair condition and chose not to be transported to a hospital, the aftermath reported the Los Angeles Fire Department. However, two elderly individuals were not as lucky; one—an 80-year-old man—was in serious condition, and an 80-year-old woman was also in fair condition. Both were promptly taken to a local hospital following the accident.
CBS Los Angeles reported that the accident involved a BMW, though details surrounding the cause of the crash were not immediately available. The news outlet stated that fire department crews had to remain on scene for some time to extract the automobile from the school property.
