A small plane incident occurred Tuesday at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport involving a Vans RV7A single-engine aircraft that veered off the taxiway and into a ditch around 12:15 p.m., according to city and airport officials.
QC News confirmed that neither the pilot nor the passenger was injured.
The plane was maneuvering before takeoff when it unexpectedly left the taxiway and entered the ditch, WCNC reported.
The Concord Fire Department responded as a precaution, ensuring the safety of those involved. WSOC-TV reported that there was no smoke or fire at the scene.
