The police are renewing efforts to gather information about the fatal incident that took place on August 28, 2022, where a 30-year-old male motorcyclist was struck by a stolen vehicle, described as a 2007 black Lincoln Mark LT, with California license plate number 0295731, in the South Gate area, near Iowa Ave and Long Beach Blvd. The statement on the department's Facebook page provides the pertinent details of the tragic event.
The motorcyclist, who has not been named by the police, was riding an orange Suzuki SX4 motorcycle when the collision with the stolen Lincoln occurred. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The vehicle in question had been stolen from Bellflower and was found a week later in Buena Park.
