Following the May 16 tornado, St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer announced the opening of an aid hub for affected residents. The STLRecovers Outreach Center is now located at the Urban League Women’s Business Center on Natural Bridge Avenue. The center was launched alongside a new application process for Private Property Assistance, according to the City of St. Louis.

Previously functioning as a FEMA disaster recovery center, the Outreach Center has been repurposed to offer in-person assistance, including help with applications for site assessments and inspections needed for demolition and home repairs. The center's location in one of the neighborhoods most affected by the tornado is intended to facilitate the community rebuilding process.

The STLRecovers Outreach Center operates from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering services like rights-of-entry procedures, site assessments, and inspections. Mayor Spencer expressed gratitude, saying in the official announcement, “I’m grateful that the Urban League has once again provided us with a great space in one of the hardest-hit neighborhoods so that more residents in need of these services have access.”

For residents unable to visit the Outreach Center, the City of St. Louis has also launched the STLRecovers Call Center. Operating during the same hours as the Outreach Center, the Call Center provides recovery assistance. Residents can reach the Call Center by calling 833-925-0977 to get help navigating the recovery process.
