Chaos unfolded on the streets of St. Petersburg on a recent Sunday when Johnerik Track, 28, engaged in a series of collisions that ended with his arrest. According to a social media post by the St. Petersburg Police Department, Track was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram truck when he hit vehicles that were stopped at a traffic light, injuring one person. Track's reaction was to flee the scene without providing assistance or his information, subsequently causing additional property damage including hitting a city light pole and crashing into a fence.
The aftermath left Track incapacitated in a front yard, where officers found him screaming for help. He was treated for minor injuries before being taken into custody, revealing a prior unrelated charge which he was already in violation of. This incident, which was detailed in police report 2025-033355, led to multiple charges for Track including a felony for leaving the scene of a crash with injury, and multiple misdemeanors for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and reckless driving with property damage/injury.
In response to these events, the St. Petersburg community has witnessed an unsettling reminder of the consequences of reckless driving. The arrest does not mark the end of the story but the beginning of a legal process for Track. The investigation remains ongoing, and as of yesterday, October 1, the charges have been formally levied against him.
