
The St. Petersburg Police Department apprehended a 23-year-old man, identified as Eric Stallings, on various drug trafficking charges after he was discovered asleep in a luxury vehicle, surrounded by an assortment of drugs and weapons. According to a social media post from the St. Petersburg Police Department, a concerned call was received at 8:30 a.m. about a man in a Rolls-Royce who appeared to be passed out with the car door open in the parking lot of the Zura Apartments.
Upon the officers' arrival, they observed drugs in plain view and commenced a search of the vehicle. This search subsequently led to the discovery of "various guns, knives, drugs, and bags of psilocybin mushrooms," as mentioned on the St. Petersburg Police Department Facebook post. The statement further detailed that Stallings attempted to quickly run and, in the process, knocked down an officer, inflicting an injury. The charges levied against him include resisting arrest with violence, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, trafficking in methamphetamine armed, trafficking in cocaine, and trafficking in heroin.
