Tragedy struck Dartmoor Street North as Victoria Lynn Morley became the victim of a hit-and-run incident. The fatal event unfolded last Friday night, October 3. St. Petersburg Police have since identified Morley and informed her relatives, as the city grapples with the senseless nature of the accident.
Morley's evening took a tragic turn while she was crossing from west to east at Joyce Terrace North. An unidentified vehicle collided with her and the driver, in an act of callous disregard, opted to flee rather than render aid. A passing driver found Morley and made the 911 call around 11:30 p.m., but sadly, she succumbed to her injuries.
In an effort to make sense of this incident and bring justice to those affected, authorities have released video footage of a car observed near the crash site. The footage, showing both real-time and slow-motion versions, highlights a potential key witness or even the responsible party.
