Barbara Goodwin and Katya Flores, members of the airport staff, were quick to bring the pup upstairs to the aviation offices for some impromptu affection and care. Louie's adventure at the airport soon led him to develop a taste for peanut butter pretzels, offered by Sasha Kane. Fort Worth's City News, in a recent article, revealed that Louie “was in great shape — clean, soft paws, trimmed nails — it was clear he had been cared for,” a sentiment echoed by many who met the little dog.
The friendly stray didn't have to wait long to find a forever home, potentially. Louie was turned over to Fort Worth Animal Care & Control by the end of the day. Prepped with the essentials for an animal in transition, he was neutered, microchipped, and ready to meet prospective owners. Now, Louie awaits adoption at the PetSmart Alliance Adoption Center, and his story, featured in a City News publication, has been warming the hearts of the local community.
Indeed, it seems the City’s Aviation Department shares the same hope for Louie, with him soon to land in a loving home safely.
