
A stolen SacRT Flex vehicle led Sacramento Police on a brief chase earlier this week, ending with a collision and the arrest of a suspect. According to a Facebook post from the Sacramento Police Department, the incident began when an SPD K9 Officer acknowledged a stolen vehicle near El Camino Avenue and Howe Avenue.
According to the Sacramento Police Department report, the suspect tried to flee when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, leading to a short pursuit. The chase ended near Auburn Boulevard and Fulton Avenue after the suspect crashed into other cars and tried to run away on foot, but officers quickly caught and arrested them.
In an expression of interagency collaboration, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance that proved crucial in the suspect’s capture. The Sacramento Police Department hailed this as "another great example of teamwork and dedication to keeping our community safe."
