An unnamed individual has been taken into custody following a fire at an Annapolis parking garage. As first reported by WMAR-2 News, the Annapolis Fire Department was called to 1 Park Place last Friday morning, where they encountered smoke coming from the structure. The fire, which was contained by the building's sprinkler system, was determined to have been set intentionally after a disturbance.
Responders, numbering around 40 firefighters, managed to quickly and safely control the situation. The fire consisted of several boxes that were stacked on a pallet. According to FOX Baltimore, there were no injuries reported at the scene. The incident was addressed promptly on October 17, shortly before 11 a.m.
The Annapolis Fire and Explosives Services Unit conducted the subsequent investigation, which led to the apprehension of the perpetrator. As a result of the investigation, the individual has been charged with reckless endangerment.
