
A Sacramento neighborhood was disrupted when a police pursuit ended with a suspected stolen vehicle crashing into a residence, injuring three people, according to authorities. ABC10 reports that the incident occurred after Sacramento Police located an occupied stolen vehicle around 5:45 p.m., leading to a chase that culminated with the car crashing into a home on the 7300 block of Circle Parkway.
The collision left one victim trapped beneath the vehicle, who, according to the Sacramento Fire Department, was alert and conversing by the time they were taken to the hospital. The house sustained an undisclosed amount of damage, and though two individuals from the home were hospitalized with minor injuries, another is in stable condition following the event, as police took the driver of the allegedly stolen car into custody, their identity has yet to be released by officials along with the specific charges they may face.
Neighbors expressed their concern over the recurring hazard posed by police pursuits in the area. "The children in the neighborhood and people around here are put at risk because poor judgment of the police officers," Leroy Adams told KCRA, reflecting community concerns about the safety protocols during such high-stakes operations.
Officials said the suspect has been detained but hasn’t been identified, and charges haven’t been announced. The amount of damage to the home is still unknown. This was the second time this week a suspected stolen car involved in a chase crashed in Sacramento, impacting bystanders, as per KCRA.
