Tampa’s Veterans Memorial Park and the Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum will host the 61st Annual Veterans Day Tribute, organized by Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services in partnership with the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County. According to Hillsborough County, the event is scheduled for November 11 at 10 a.m. and will honor veterans from all military branches and eras. The celebration is open to the community and designed to be family-friendly.

Attendees will see a JROTC color guard and hear patriotic music. The Veterans Council Awards will be presented, and special guests will attend. Resources will be available for veterans and their families. After the ceremony, participants can have refreshments and visit a kids’ craft area with take-home projects.

The national Veterans Day Committee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has designated the park as an official Regional Veterans Day Site for the ninth consecutive year. The park is open to the public daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features several commemorative monuments, including the newest addition, the Gold Star Family Memorial.
