A Tecumseh teenager was arrested for allegedly planning an attack on Tecumseh High School. Tecumseh Public Schools canceled classes on all campuses on Monday and Tuesday, stating, “This closure applies only to the high school campus and does not affect other Tecumseh school sites,” as reported by KFOR.
Officials later closed all campuses after new online threats were reported, and the FBI confirmed a credible threat. Parent-teacher conferences and semester tests were rescheduled for the following week, according to FOX23.
A Tecumseh student was arrested after admitting plans to "shoot up" the school, as mentioned by KOCO. The student faces charges of terroristic threats, threatening acts of violence, violating the Computer Crimes Act, and possessing obscene materials. Tecumseh Public Schools will reopen on October 20 after the fall break as officials continue the investigation and increase security.
