
Early this morning, the Baltimore Police Department responded to a shooting in downtown Baltimore. Patrol officers, who were on duty near the 200 block of S. Eutaw Street, heard gunshots around 12:24 a.m. They located a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound shortly thereafter on the 400 block of W. Saratoga Street, FOX Baltimore reported.
The injuries sustained by the teenager appeared to be non-life-threatening, and he was quickly transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Central District officers and detectives commenced an immediate search for evidence and canvassed the area. They were seen placing yellow evidence markers where the incident took place, according to a Baltimore Witness article.
As the investigation continues, Central District detectives are gathering information to piece together the events that led to the shooting. They have spent the early hours of the morning collecting evidence in an attempt to understand the circumstances surrounding the violent eruption on Baltimore's streets.
