Three individuals were wounded during a homecoming party in Channelview after an incident involving uninvited guests who opened fire, according to reports from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place shortly after midnight in the 15400 block of Bosque Viejo Trail, off Ranch Grande Drive, where several juveniles were gathered to celebrate.
The sequence of events reportedly escalated after the party hosts requested the uninvited individuals to leave, leading to them drawing firearms and shooting; the sheriffs stated the three victims included two juveniles and an adult, who are now recuperating in the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. In a statement obtained by ABC13, the authorities have indicated they expect to identify the suspected shooter based on the evidence at hand.
According to a KHOU report, the investigation has been intensified with Sheriff's Office Sergeant Jeff Thomas stating, "A lot of evidence to collect here, a lot of video to collect. They do have a suspect, we don't have a name yet, but there is video of the shooting," implying the availability of substantial footage that could aid in the swift progression of the case.
