
The annual Race for Every Child will affect traffic in downtown Washington, D.C. on Saturday, with several major roads closed and parking restrictions in place. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, closures and parking bans will begin at 4:00 a.m. and last until approximately 3:00 p.m.
Pennsylvania Avenue between 9th and 14th Streets NW will be closed to vehicle traffic, along with nearby streets. Additional closures include sections of Pennsylvania Avenue from 3rd to 9th Streets NW, Independence Avenue from 3rd to 7th Streets SW, and D Street from 3rd to 4th Streets SW, which will remain closed from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
