Drivers should be aware that U.S. 41 between Midway Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard will have intermittent lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., starting today and continuing through tomorrow. The closures are for tree maintenance, with Arbobella Tree Service contracted to prune vegetation in the medians, according to Charlotte County.
The city’s Public Works Department is monitoring the situation and providing updates to keep the public informed. The advisory in the county’s announcement states, “The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.” Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time to navigate safely around the closures.
For more information or project-related questions, contact Chuck Peters at 941-575-3658. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and review current traffic conditions before traveling. Drivers should also be attentive to road workers in the area, as maintenance is being performed on trees and vegetation along the roads.
