In a coordinated crackdown involving multiple law enforcement agencies, three individuals accused in a series of violent crimes across the Dallas region have been apprehended. Dallas Police received a report of a stolen vehicle on September 24, leading to a chain of events that concluded with shots being fired and a multi-city police pursuit. The Dallas Police Department detailed the events in a news release, informing the public of the arrests made for aggravated assault and related charges.
The ordeal began when the vehicle owner located his stolen car in the 6200 block of Melody Lane. According to the Dallas Police Department, he witnessed 25-year-old Juliano Martinez, 23-year-old Broderick Brown, and 25-year-old Angel Hernandez in possession of his vehicle. Upon seeing the owner, the suspects fled, discharging a firearm in his direction. Miraculously, the owner was unharmed. After giving chase and ultimately losing sight of the vehicle, the case then expanded to involve other jurisdictions.
The situation escalated when the same vehicle was spotted by a FLOCK camera in Garland, leading to a vehicular accident in Sachse, as the suspects' attempt to evade police ended with a crash. The perpetrators then fled on foot into dense woods. The subsequent search involved officers from the Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Sachse Police Departments, and the Texas Department of Public Safety. The pursuit culminated with all three suspects being located and taken into custody.
Upon the arrests, Major Gabriel Candelaria highlighted the collaborative effort in a statement, per the Dallas Police Department: “Thanks to the relentless and selfless efforts of the Northeast Patrol Crime Response Team and our other law enforcement partners, we delivered swift and decisive justice—ridding our streets of this criminal element and activity. Our main priority continues to be the safety, well-being, and peace of mind for all who live, work, and visit our city.” The charges against the suspects include Aggravated Assault, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, and Evading Arrest/Detention, accompanied by charges for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Robbery stemming from earlier incidents.
