Chaos rattled the tranquility of a Tulsa night when a man and a woman, later identified as Jordan Nunn and Keia Wilson, forcefully commandeered a Dodge Durango after feigning the need for a ride. According to the Tulsa Police Department Facebook post, the victim was coerced at gunpoint to surrender his vehicle, personal electronics, and a firearm on October 2nd, near a Flying J truck stop.
A pursuit initiated the following day, with officers spotting the missing vehicle. When attempts to halt the suspects failed, a chase broke out, during which firearms were discarded from the fleeing Durango and an unrelated Subaru sustained collateral damage in the fray — luckily, without any resulting injuries, as reported by the Tulsa Police Department.
Within the confines of that ill-gotten conveyance lay additional transgressions: finders of methamphetamine and cocaine added to the duo's list of charges. As per the Tulsa Police Department's communication, Nunn faces several counts, including the possession of a stolen vehicle and a firearm, both after former conviction of a felony, eluding a police officer, drug possession, and more. On the other hand, Wilson's injuries warranted a hospital visit, and given her status as a tribal member, her case will be addressed by federal and tribal authorities, as it falls under the McGirt ruling. While the suspects await the full weight of the law, the Tulsa Police Department reiterates, "This is an arrest, not a conviction."
