The Tulsa Police Department's Fugitive Warrants Unit has successfully located and arrested Jocquan Jordan, the suspect in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Roderick Teague, as announced in a recent social media post from the Tulsa Police Department.
The capture occurred yesterday, just two days after the incident that claimed Teague's life; Jordan has since been detained and his bond is set at 1 million dollars, an event following a shooting that happened at 5800 S. Peoria Ave, where Teague was fatally shot amidst what appeared to be an altercation involving two groups.
The department's statement acknowledged the efforts of the Fugitive Warrants Unit in apprehending Jordan, who was charged with first-degree murder on Monday, a day after the incident; this charge came after detectives reviewed surveillance footage and conducted witness interviews, which led them to identify Jordan as the prime suspect.
The Tulsa Police Department stoutly thanked the witnesses for their integral role in the investigation, and while Jordan has been booked for the grave crime, the department's post took care to underscore the fact that "This is an arrest and not a conviction."
