An 18-year-old has been charged in connection with a fatal DUI crash that claimed the life of a young woman in Tulsa earlier this year. According to the Tulsa Police Department's Facebook post, Adrian Abundis-Ronquillo faces multiple charges, including first-degree manslaughter, in the death of 24-year-old Marilyn Raymundo-Mutaz.

The crash occurred on the night of July 13, around 10:30 p.m., near 21st and Garnett. Investigators reported that Abundis-Ronquillo was driving at 86 mph in a 40 mph zone when his Cadillac XTS collided with Raymundo-Mutaz’s Ford Fiesta as she attempted a left turn onto northbound Highway 169. Raymundo-Mutaz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the crash, Abundis-Ronquillo was hospitalized for his injuries, and a blood test detected Hydroxy-THC, THCA, and THC in his system. On Thursday last week, he was formally charged with first-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence of drugs, and reckless driving. He was arrested five days later and is being held at the Tulsa County Jail pending further court proceedings.
