Tragedy struck yesterday afternoon in Indiana Borough, as two individuals were fatally injured by an IndiGO bus at the crossroads of Philadelphia Street and Seventh Street. WPXI reported that the victims, 68-year-old Ronald Lynn Mabon and 39-year-old Christina Marie Perez, encountered the bus while on the road. Perez did not survive the immediate aftermath of the accident, while Mabon later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Amidst this continuing investigation, Pittsburgh's Action News 4 attempted to glean further details from IndiGO, only to learn that the organization could not provide comment due to the ongoing investigation, as documented by WTAE.
Despite the recent tragedy, the Borough quickly responded by focusing on the bigger issue. Officials stressed their commitment to improving the quality of life and said that any loss of life is unacceptable.
