Initial findings from the Allegheny County Police suggest that the male driver of one vehicle lost control, entered the opposing traffic lane sideways, and collided with the second vehicle, driven by a female. Both drivers were promptly taken to local hospitals following the incident: "The man is in critical condition, and the woman is in stable condition", as WPXI detailed. No additional victims or injuries have been reported. The sustained injuries led to one driver being listed in critical condition, whereas the other's situation has been described as stable.
Concurrently, the WTAE reported that Allegheny County police are continuing their investigation into the collision's cause and circumstances.
