A late-night outburst of violence at a Norwalk strip mall has left two injured, with Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies on the hunt for the shooter. The incident happened just before 11 p.m. last Friday outside of a bar on Alondra Boulevard, as confirmed by officials. According to a KTLA report, onlookers described the bar's glass front door shattered and bullet casings littering the parking lot.
The two victims found themselves in a hail of bullets, with one reportedly found on the ground outside a nearby liquor store and the second having driven themselves to the safety and care of a hospital. Witnesses recounted the harrowing moment, with one telling ABC7, "I heard multiple shots fire. I saw the glass door window just shatter... and then I heard tires scurrying away. I go outside, I see there's two people just bleeding with wounds." This account highlights the confusion and fear that erupted as the tranquility of a night out was shattered by unexpected violence.
Both victims are said to be in stable condition. The sheriff's department, in an update, confirmed the hospitalization of the two individuals, though information on their identities has remained undisclosed to the public.
