The Nevada Department of Wildlife has shared an urgent safety notice from the U.S. Coast Guard regarding a recall of all Sea-Doo Switch models. The recall follows reports of capsizing incidents, some resulting in fatalities.
According to the Nevada Department of Wildlife's Facebook post, the issue occurs when too much weight shifts to the front, or bow, of the vessel. Owners are advised to avoid sudden speed or direction changes, especially when slowing down, and to keep passenger and cargo weight toward the rear.
Manufacturer BRP, the parent company of Sea-Doo, has acknowledged the problem and is recalling all affected models to address the design flaw.
Sea-Doo Switch owners are urged to review the U.S. Coast Guard safety alert and follow the provided guidelines. Additional information and updates can be found through the Nevada Department of Wildlife and U.S. Coast Guard websites.
