The Metropolitan Police Department issued an alert for 16-year-old Janelle Thomas, last seen last Friday in the 800 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast. Authorities are asking the public to provide any information that could help locate her, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
Janelle, described as a Black female, 4'11", 125 pounds, with a medium brown complexion, black hair in a low bun, and brown eyes, has not been found and there are no new leads. She was last seen wearing a pink and black leather coat with fur trim, light blue denim pants, and black furry boots, as stated by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The Metropolitan Police Department said the situation is urgent and asked residents to report any information and use Janelle’s photo for identification. Police have followed up on several tips, but Janelle has not been found. According to the Metropolitan Police Department on their X account, the case is being investigated by MPD’s Youth and Family Engagement Division. Anyone with information can call the detectives or the Real Time Crime Center at (202) 727-9099, or send anonymous tips via text to 50411.
