
A U.S. Postal Service worker was shot in the face while delivering mail at the West Mall Place Apartments in Everett, Washington. The incident happened around 12:50 p.m. on Friday. According to KOMO News, officials said the mail carrier was shot by a package delivery driver after a confrontation.
After the shooting, police and medics arrived at the scene and found the postal worker with a gunshot wound. FOX 13 Seattle reported that Police Inspector John Wiegand said, “At that time, he was confronted by another individual, and then a small altercation took place where the carrier was unfortunately shot in the face.” The mail carrier was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Details about his condition have not been released.
A package delivery driver was arrested at the scene of a fatal shooting involving a postal worker, as mentioned by KIRO 7. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the motive is still under investigation. Neighbor Jelani Jones told FOX 13 Seattle the victim was “He’s a cool dude. Hard-working, down to earth, funny, just a regular guy.” The incident occurred near a police station and remains under investigation.
