A vehicle incident startled onlookers as it crashed near the entrance of the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) building in central Las Vegas Valley. The crash, which involved a single vehicle striking part of the district's main public health center, occurred before 1 p.m. last Friday, according to officials. Located at 280 S. Decatur Boulevard, near Meadows Lane, the building sustained limited damage as a result of the incident.
In a statement obtained by FOX5 Vegas, SNHD officials noted, "The incident is being addressed by law enforcement," and that repairs will commence as necessary. Despite the collision, the SNHD affirmed that the crash would not affect the operating hours of the facility, information on which can be found on the Health District's website.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that there were no injuries from the accident that transpired in the parking lot of the health district's main office. 8 News Now also covered the event, specifying that the crash happened around 11 a.m. and emphasizing that the facility was closed on Friday, which is consistent with its usual schedule of being open Monday through Thursday.
