In the quiet of a Victorville night disrupted by gunfire, local authorities are seeking answers after a shooting incident at the Green Tree Inn. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's office reported that on Sunday, October 5, deputies rushed to the hotel at 14173 Green Tree Boulevard following a 9:24 p.m. alert about multiple shots fired.
Once at the scene, law enforcement witnessed five individuals rushing away from the vicinity of the hotel's parking lot, where chaos had unfolded moments earlier. A white sedan was involved with one masked individual stepping out, unloading a series of shots towards a group before speeding away. This brazen act, thankfully, resulted in no physical injuries. Detailed in a sheriff-coroner department news release, their ongoing investigation presses for any information that may lead to the suspect's apprehension.
Authorities are keen to fill in the blanks regarding the suspect, last seen covering their identity with a ski mask. With the suspect at large and motives unclear, local safety is a concern shared by the community and the Victorville Police Department.
People with knowledge pertinent to the shooting are urged by Deputy D. Moran, Victorville Station, to step forward and provide what they know—their contact number being (760) 241-2911, and for those who prefer confidentiality can reach out to the We-Tip hotline at 1-800-78CRIME, all in a collective effort to trace the one responsible for the disturbance which threatened peace in a typical suburban locale. The case number for this incident is DR# 172511786.
