Wake Forest is about to get a blast from the past with the return of the Comic Book & Toy Expo at the Flaherty Park Community Center. Partnering with Play4Life Comics & Used Books, the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is setting the stage for a nostalgic journey through pop culture. According to the Town of Wake Forest's announcement, the event will unfold on Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., welcoming everyone with interests ranging from vintage comics to Pokémon cards.
The expo is designed to be a family-friendly affair, free of charge, and celebrates the collector's spirit in all of us. If you have been aiming to seriously enlarge your collection, or merely want to casually peruse the rich tapestry of vintage pop culture, this event promises merchandise that spans decades of comic and toy history.
Located at 1226 N. White St., the Flaherty Park Community Center will transform into a haven for collectors and the curious. Vendors will have their finest selections on display, from the most sought-after action figures to the comics that have defined generations. "Whether you're a collector, an aficionado, or just out on a family stroll you will not want to miss this amazing show!" reads the event description on the Town of Wake Forest website.
