The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is conducting the "Warm Your Hearts with Coats Drive" through Saturday. The drive is collecting new or gently used coats and jackets for distribution, with a specific need for youth-sized jackets. Donations of all sizes are accepted, as per report by Wake Forest.
Multiple drop-off locations are available for those wishing to donate. The Alston-Massenburg Center, Flaherty Park Community Center, and Joyner Park Community Center are accepting donations during their regular hours. According to the official announcement, these centers offer extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate donors.
When the drive ends, all collected coats will be distributed to children in the local community. The distribution is scheduled for November 1 at the Alston-Massenburg Center, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where families can pick up winter jackets for their children.
