The Wentzville Police Department in Missouri has put the spotlight on three of its officers for their commendable work in maintaining the safety and sanctity of the city's parks. According to a social media post by the department, Officers Burkemper, Rhodes, and Kuykendall were named Commissioned Officer Employees of the Month for their proactive efforts in investigations that led to the arrest of several individuals who were banned from park premises, thereby upholding a secure environment for visitors.
These officers leveraged teamwork and initiative, a move that went beyond routine patrols, conducting thorough investigations, and ensuring communication lines were open with other divisions, which, is something that went a long way in keeping the parks devoid of elements that could disrupt the peace or pose dangers to families and individuals seeking leisure or solace in these public spaces. The affirmative action by Officers Burkemper, Rhodes, and Kuykendall highlights the Wentzville PD’s broader commitment to proactive policing, building public trust, and sustaining community safety as key values.
"Their efforts led to the arrest of multiple suspects restricted from being in a park and maintained a safe environment for all visitors," stated the Wentzville PD in their post, highlighting the impact of their actions.
