Significantly expanding its capacity, the new library at 1861 North Martin Luther King Boulevard features over 41,000 square feet of space. Additionally, this new cultural hub will be built on a 5.25-acre parcel of land, thanks to the collaboration with the City of Las Vegas, according to 8 News Now.
The library district emphasizes the significance of the new facility, stating on its website, "this new building will be a place where our children, grandchildren, and generations to come can come to enjoy story times, arts and cultural events, live performances, after-school tutoring, and STEAM activities," as stated by 8 News Now. The new West Las Vegas Library offers many great features, including an Art Gallery, Computer Centers, an Event Center, and an Outdoor Event Plaza. The transition to the new library does mean the closure of the current West Las Vegas Library location at 951 West Lake Mead Boulevard on November 24.
