Several scenic byways are open for travelers, including the Appalachian Medley, which features historic sites, and the Cherohala Skyway, known for its views. Other routes include the Big Horse Creek Byway, the Fontana Byway, the Upper Yadkin Way, and the French Broad Overview, where visitors can experience culture and nature.
