Residents of Wilson County should take note of the scheduled changes for their trash-disposal routines as the county's Solid Waste C&D Landfill and all Convenience Centers are set to close this Wednesday at noon. The closure, issued by the Wilson County government, is due to a staff training session that necessitates a halt in the usual operations. Those looking to dispose of their trash before the break should plan to do so in the morning.
The Solid Waste C&D Landfill, alongside all Convenience Centers numbered 1 through 12, will resume services promptly the following day. According to Wilson County's announcement, the landfill will reopen at 8:00 a.m., while the centers will welcome citizens starting at 7:00 a.m. Thursday.
Specific addresses for each of the Convenience Centers, ranging from Elm City's 6044 Bottoms Dairy Road to 2400 NC 42 Hwy East for site 13, are readily available for those who may be less familiar with their locations. These centers ensure that residents have a nearby option for handling everything from household trash to recyclable materials, contributing to the cleanliness and environmental health of Wilson County.
