A woman was killed and a man was injured in a shooting on Sunday outside Club Aragon in southwest Houston. According to Click2Houston, the incident happened after a fight, but it is not yet clear what started it or how many people were involved. Police have not said whether the fight happened inside or outside the club or if the club was open at the time.
Police said four people were inside a Lincoln sedan when someone opened fire on them after they left a club. The driver was able to steer the car to a parking lot in the 8500 block of South Gessner Road, where officers found it riddled with bullet holes. A woman in the front passenger seat was killed, while the driver was shot and taken to the hospital in stable condition. The two passengers in the back seats were not injured, as reported by KHOU.
Sgt. Stephen Jiminez of the Houston Police Department told Click2Houston that “The car was shot multiple times.” He said several people later arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds believed to be connected to the same incident. Police think more witnesses and possibly other victims have not yet come forward. Early reports indicated that a dispute between two women may have led to their boyfriends firing at each other, but Sgt. Jiminez said the details are still unclear. No suspect or vehicle information has been released. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
