Angelle Thompson, 36, was indicted on attempted murder and assault charges after a stabbing incident at Manhattan’s Port Authority Bus Terminal. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office reported that Thompson allegedly attacked a Greyhound bus employee following a dispute.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. emphasized the city’s stance against violence toward workers, stating, “As alleged, Angelle Thompson viciously stabbed a hardworking employee who was just doing her job.” The indictment, announced yesterday, relates to an incident that began on the evening of September 22 and continued into the early hours of September 23. According to the District Attorney's press release, Thompson was denied boarding multiple times, which led to repeated arguments with bus terminal staff.

On September 23, the incident escalated at the Greyhound ticket office when Thompson allegedly went behind the counter during an argument and stabbed a 25-year-old employee multiple times. The victim survived and received hospital treatment for approximately nine lacerations, including injuries to the head, torso, and legs.

The response of law enforcement was critical in this case, with Port Authority Police Department officers arriving on scene while Thompson was still present. In a statement obtained by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office Assistant D.A. John Logan, with the support of Assistant D.A. Erin Tierney, Executive D.A.
