A 57-year-old woman was hospitalized after being shot in the neck while using an ATM in downtown Renton. The incident occurred just before 6:35 p.m. near the intersection of Burnett Avenue South and South 3rd Street. Renton police indicated that following the woman’s withdrawal from the ATM, a confrontation ensued between her and the suspect over her purse; during this struggle, she was shot, as reported by KIRO 7.
