An 18-year-old man lost his life to gun violence in Orange County's Pine Hills community last night. The shooting occurred on Woodhill Park Drive, as reported by WFTV. Deputies rushed to the scene around 8 p.m. upon receiving reports of shots being fired. They discovered the young man wounded and quickly moved to transport him to the nearest hospital.
Despite the efforts of the responding officers and medical staff, the victim was pronounced dead after they arrived at the hospital. The identity of the teenager has not been publicly released, and detectives from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are actively trying to piece together what led to this tragic incident.
The area where the incident occurred is a residential section of Pine Hills within the 7300 block of Woodhill Park Drive, according to WESH. Up until now, no suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains open and ongoing.
