An 18-year-old woman lost her life in a chilling three-vehicle crash on Poinciana Parkway in Osceola County. According to WFTV, Eddy Edmond, 44, has been charged with DUI manslaughter in the aftermath of the early Friday incident that has left the community reeling. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Edmond failed to stop his Acura MDX, slamming into a Hyundai Tucson that had come to a halt, which then overturned and collided with a Ford F-150.
The horrific sequence of events unfolded on State Road 538, just east of Sienna Boulevard. The FHP further detailed that occupants of the Hyundai, including the now-deceased young woman from Georgia, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Edmond has since been booked into the Osceola County Jail, his actions under the stark scrutiny of a law unyielding to the perils of impaired driving. WESH noted that the identities of four passengers involved in the Hyundai Tucson are still being confirmed.
