A fatal motorcycle crash on Loop 1604 has claimed the life of a local motorcyclist, identified as Cameron Wilkerson, age 25. The incident, which occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, took place in the 3700 block of N Loop 1604 E, near Bulverde Road. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office reported that Wilkerson died from blunt force injuries, and his death was ruled an accident, as per KSAT.
Wilkerson was driving east on the Loop 1604 access road and attempted to merge onto Loop 1604. He then hit a vehicle that was stopped on the on-ramp because of an earlier crash. Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to News 4 San Antonio. Traffic in the area was affected following the incident.
San Antonio Police responded to a fatal crash where witnesses described the events, and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but Wilkerson died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported, and no additional information has been released about the initial collision that led to the crash.
