
Tragedy struck on Victoria Avenue at Curlew Way in Oxnard, as a 66-year-old male pedestrian was hit and killed by a 2021 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Oxnard Police Department reported on the fatal incident, which took place on November 25, 2025, just after 6 p.m.
Responding officers and emergency medical personnel discovered the pedestrian lying in the southbound traffic lane, suffering from major injuries. Lifesaving measures attempted by bystanders were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pick-up remained on the scene and was cooperative with investigators. It does not appear that speed or impairment were contributing factors, according to the police news release.
Authorities have withheld the names of both the pedestrian and the 41-year-old male driver. The Oxnard Police Department's investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, as they work to unravel the evening's tragic events.
