The Kent State University vicinity experienced a jolt of violence as a 19-year-old man reportedly discharged a firearm inside a local bar. This incident occurred at Bar Lucci on North Water Street, where, according to the Cleveland 19 report, an abrupt eruption of a fight led to the man pulling out a gun and opening fire. Police stated that no injuries were reported during this unsettling event.
The suspect, identified as Jack Massie of Akron, was swiftly detained by Kent Police. In a statement detailed by Cleveland 19, Police Chief Nicholas Shearer expressed his disbelief, emphasizing how such acts "put everyone at risk."
