A stabbing in Ashton Heights on Wednesday evening left one person dead and two others badly injured. Arlington County Police say it happened around 5:11 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Glebe Road. When officers arrived, they found two men with serious cuts outside a nearby business and began giving aid right away.
While checking the area, police found a third man inside the building who had died; he had been attacked outside where the other two victims were located. The two surviving men were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. One is now in stable condition, and the other remains in critical but stable condition, according to the county's release.
Police say the ongoing investigation by the Homicide/Robbery Unit indicates that the man who died had started the attack and is believed to be the main aggressor. They also confirmed that no additional suspects are being sought. Investigators found several knives at the scene, which may help them understand what happened.
The identity of the man who died has not been released, as police are still notifying his family. Police are requesting any information or surveillance footage that could help clarify the circumstances of the incident. Anyone with relevant details is asked to contact the Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit or submit an anonymous tip through the Arlington County Crime Solvers hotline.
