A fatal double shooting last night in Baltimore claimed the life of a 23-year-old man and left an 18-year-old woman wounded, authorities reported. According to WBALTV, officers patrolling the Central District heard gunshots emanating from the 400 block of W. Saratoga Street at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Police located both victims with gunshot injuries and swiftly transported them to a medical facility; the man was soon pronounced dead and the woman is currently under treatment for injuries assessed as non-life threatening, the incident disrupted the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) services, necessitating a detour for some routes due to police activity closures on Saratoga Street between Paca and Eutaw Streets which remained in effect until midnight.
