Wake Forest voters elected Commissioner Ben Clapsaddle as mayor, defeating six-term incumbent Vivian Jones. In the Board of Commissioners (BOC) races, newcomer Haseeb Fatmi won a seat, while incumbent Keith Shackleford was re-elected, according to the Town of Wake Forest.
Ben Clapsaddle received 7,598 votes (70.6%) compared with 3,135 votes (29.1%) for Vivian Jones. In the Board of Commissioners race, Haseeb Fatmi led with 5,731 votes (27.6%), followed by Keith Shackleford with 5,404 votes (26%).
The results remain unofficial, with final tallies still to be confirmed.
