Broomfield residents planning to use services from the Recording Division will need to mark their calendars and prepare for minor disruptions. On Nov. 12, the office is slated for a one-day remodel, which is going to temporarily limit certain services, as noted by the City and County of Broomfield.
Those intending to walk in to record documents on that Wednesday should be braced to potentially wait longer than usual. The office has indicated that the remodeling efforts are necessary, but has also acknowledged that inconvenience is an inevitable byproduct. "Recording walk-in customers who need to record documents could experience longer than normal wait times," according to the City and County of Broomfield.
In addition to delays in recording documents, some services will not be available at all on Nov. 12. Marriage and Civil Union Certificates are among the offerings that are going to be paused for the duration. The announcement explicitly states, "Marriage and Civil Union Certificates will not be issued and walk-in customers will not be served for these services on this day," as per the City and County of Broomfield. This one-day service hiatus is a noteworthy consideration for anyone with pending nuptials or those looking to formalize civil unions.
