Heads up, Caldwell County residents: if you've got any business with county offices or need to swing by convenience sites, you'll want to adjust your plans for the Thanksgiving holiday. According to an alert from the Caldwell County official website, the gears of local government will be pausing to allow for a moment of respite as we give thanks.
In the spirit of the holiday, all Caldwell County offices will be locking their doors to the public today and tomorrow. For those planning to dispose of their festive refuse, the convenience sites will only be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Normal services and hours of operation are expected to resume following the brief hiatus, with offices reopening next Monday and convenience sites bouncing back into action tomorrow.
Making the most of the operating days before the holiday could save folks a headache. "All offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November, November 27 and 28," states the announcement on the county's website.
